Clinical naturopaths are at the forefront of complementary medicine, offering a well-established and integrative approach within the Australian healthcare system. Naturopathy is safe to use alongside conventional medicine and focuses on treating the whole person, not just symptoms.

A key distinction between naturopathy and mainstream medical care is its holistic, client-centered approach. As practitioners, we are trained in clinical nutrition, medical herbalism, dietary and lifestyle medicine, drawing on a blend of evidence-based research and traditional knowledge to provide thorough, individualized care. We emphasize disease prevention and optimal wellness rather than just symptom management.

As a clinician, my primary focus is on identifying and addressing the underlying causes of illness, rather than simply masking symptoms. Since no two individuals present with the exact same history, lifestyle, or contributing factors—even when diagnosed with the same condition—treatments are highly personalized.

We put the ‘care’ back in healthcare by fostering a therapeutic partnership between practitioner and client, which is vital to the healing process. Clients are provided with a safe, supportive, and confidential space to explore their health concerns with trust and reassurance

Appointments can be booked online via the Bookings page on our website. New clients should select the Initial Consultation (60 mins).

  1. Complete the New Client Intake Form

After booking, you’ll receive a confirmation email with a link to the intake form. Please complete it at least 72 hours before your appointment to allow Steven time to review it. If your appointment is within 72 hours, complete the form as soon as possible.

  2. Send Any Previous Test Results

If you have past test results, please email copies to bookings@stevenjudge.com.au before your appointment. While new testing referrals will be organised, older test results often provide valuable insights for Steven in evaluating your medical history.

  3. Review the Telehealth Consultation Guidelines

These guidelines, included in your confirmation email, outline how to ensure a smooth and productive consultation.

  4. Update Your Zoom Application

Ensure you have the latest version of Zoom installed to prevent technical delays on the day of your appointment

  5. Take Notes Before Your Appointment

Many clients find it helpful to jot down their key thoughts, questions, dietary and lifestyle habits ahead of time. This ensures you won’t feel put on the spot or forget important details during your appointment

No, you do not need to complete any testing before your initial appointment.

The initial consultation is designed to get to know you, understand your health history, and determine whether further testing is necessary. While past test results can provide helpful context and help rule out which tests don’t need to be repeated in the short term, this session is not spent on a detailed evaluation of results—that happens in your follow-up appointment.

Testing referrals will be discussed during your session and provided afterward, along with guidance on the most appropriate options. Please note that testing referrals cannot be provided before your initial consultation—they will only be advised on and ordered after your appointment with Steven.

If you have previous test results, please email them to bookings@stevenjudge.com.au before your appointment. Steven will review them in advance and discuss any additional testing that may be needed to guide your treatment plan effectively.

Healing happens in steps, not all at once. The initial consultation is the first step in your health journey—it is not a standalone session for quick answers or treatment plans but a foundation for sustainable progress.

Pre-payment is required for all appointments booked via the website. However, if you pre-book your next consultation with Steven at the end of your previous appointment, payment can be made on the day of that session. Otherwise, all appointments must be pre-paid.

When completing the New Client Intake Form, you will be asked to securely store your credit card details on file. Alternatively, Steven will collect these details during your first consultation.

Naturopathic consultations are not covered by Medicare.

As of April 2019, naturopathy was excluded from private health insurance, meaning clients can no longer receive rebates for consultations.

However, due to significant public opposition, the government has initiated a $2 million review to reassess which natural therapies may once again become eligible for private health rebates.

For now, there are unfortunately no rebates available for naturopathy. If you would like to see rebates reinstated in the future, I strongly encourage you to write to the Health Minister to voice your support

We understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise. However, to be fair to all clients, a strict 48-hour full-fee cancellation policy applies to all appointments.

  • If you cancel or reschedule with less than 48 hours’ notice, the full appointment fee will be charged to the credit card stored on your file.
  • If you are more than 15 minutes late, your session will need to be rescheduled, and the full cancellation fee will apply.

For your convenience, a cancellation/reschedule link is included in your appointment confirmation email. However, please note that this link will no longer work within 48 hours of your appointment—at that point, cancellations and reschedules will be subject to the full fee.

This policy ensures fairness to other clients, allows me to accommodate those on my waiting list, and helps keep my schedule running efficiently so I can provide

Steven’s schedule is typically fully booked, with appointments running back-to-back. If you are running late, your session will still end at the scheduled time to avoid delaying other clients.

If you are more than 15 minutes late, your session may need to be rescheduled, and the full cancellation fee will apply.

If you anticipate being late, we appreciate you letting us know via bookings@stevenjudge.com.au. This helps us manage the schedule and ensure you still receive the best use of your booked appointment time

Steven’s practice is fully online via Telehealth, allowing clients from anywhere to access consultations. If you’re new to Telehealth, please review the guidelines provided in your booking confirmation email for a smooth experience.
